Leslie Albeit, Esq.
Leslie is a partner at Albeit Weiker, LLP. She focuses on representing students at the university level through code of conduct procedures, academic integrity accusations, and sexual harassment and misconduct proceedings (Title IX). She has a thorough background in criminal defense as well as civil litigation, which allows her to counsel students through additional repercussions or consequences that a student conduct procedure may carry.
She grew up in Pataskala and attended Ohio Wesleyan University where she played varsity volleyball, interned for a Delaware County Common Pleas judge, and worked for a prominent criminal defense law firm. Immediately following her undergraduate studies, Leslie attended Capital University Law School. She served as a law clerk for a criminal defense firm throughout her time at Capital. Leslie graduated from law school with honors and immediately began work at a boutique law firm specializing in criminal defense and plaintiff’s personal injury cases. Leslie moved on to a larger firm where she continued her criminal defense practice and gained extensive experience in insurance defense litigation.
Leslie co-launched Albeit Weiker with a commitment to provide meaningful, personal, and affordable representation to her clients. She takes great pride in her relationships with clients, opposing counsel, investigators, university staff, judges, court staff, and prosecutors. Clients often compliment Leslie on her ability to calm their stressful and confusing emotions that naturally come when faced with an adversarial process.
Leslie's representation always starts with listening and focusing on your well-being, no matter the magnitude of the issue. From a minor traffic ticket to a sexual assault investigation, Leslie understands that courts and legal processes can be intimidating, inconvenient, and overwhelming. Leslie works very hard to manage your case based on you as an individual with respect, dignity, and understanding.
Leslie lives in Bexley with her husband, two daughters, and two old souled dogs. When she is not assisting clients, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, or attempting to re-live her glory days on the volleyball court.
